Feel free to friend me- since you are all self proclaimed normal people ;) and I know a good chunk of you
This was too drama lawl to not share. I thought some of you people of social acceptance would really enjoy the read:
Quote from my post in regards to attending furry outings:
...have not been to a furry gathering since Chicago, even then, they were inside people's homes and private. This is the first in a really long time I have gone out with furs in public. I have been so incredibly gun shy as of lately.
I actually text robypanther and asked if anyone was wearing tails, ears, or collars before heading out to meet anyone. I just, CAN'T be seen with people like that. I know, it's elitist, bitchy, and narrow minded...but, with everything starting to come together a bit better for me now, I don't want to risk anything.
Here is a response from aiden_racoon: but furries are freaks. I don't want to hang out with "normal" people. I do that at work all day. I want to hang out with furries being furry, freaky or conservative.
On that note though, there still is a level of decency. For example, no peeing/pooping in your diaper. Something like that now, come on.
He went on to comment AGAIN to say THIS gem...
aiden_racoon Here's a bit of honesty. I wouldn't call that elitist, bitchy or narrow minded. I call that a lack of self confidence. So what if other people are all wearing thong bikinis. The important thing that you should be worried about is you. If you're going to a theater, the place is crowded. What happens if you weren't a furry at all and just so happen to see these people wearing tails and stuff and decided to go up and talk to them to find out what was going on? Would people know the difference if you were with them or not then? No one can give you a hard time because of the company you keep.
My lj post is HERE
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS TO WEARING TAILS, EARS, COLLARS IN PUBLIC? DO YOU FEEL IT IS OK AND SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE? IS THEIR A LINE?
I am just curious to know what other "normal" furs feel about this issue.
